NASH & ANTONIO QUOTES
2006
2005 ++ 2006 ++ 2007
Antonio: You know, I'd like to think of myself as a pretty fair guy.
So why don't -- why don't you tell me your side of the story and we
can clear up any misunderstandings.
Nash: Why would I defend myself to you? See, I know a little
bit about your past, too.
Antonio: I'm not going to let this drop.
Nash: No, I didn't think you would. Not your style.
Nash: All righty. What is this new observation you have about
Tess?
Antonio: The way I see it --
Nash: Ooh, this ought to be good.
Antonio: Jessica understands her actions have consequences. She's
an adult.
Nash: Yes, you're right, she's boring.
Nash: (to Antonio) You know, if you're so sure of this great
love that you have with Jessica, why would anything that I do make any difference
at all, huh?
Nash: (to Antonio) You know, when Jessica was here, she was
nice to me. She understood what Tess and I have. She didn't dismiss me, she
didn't dismiss Tess, she didn't dismiss us as something she just had to get
rid of. Can you honestly say that you've treated us the same way?
Antonio: Honestly, I'm more worried about Jessica and the baby --
and even Tess.
Nash: Even Tess? How grand.
Antonio: You want to make yourself look good to everybody else, but
you know what? It's not playing to me. Give me a beer.
Nash: There I was thinking we were bonding.
Antonio: Haven't you figured it out yet? There is no place on this
planet that you can hide where I won't find you or Tess or the baby.
Nash: Push me and I'll do my best.
Antonio: Look, have you ever taken care of a newborn, brought one
home from the hospital?
Nash: Well, from what I've heard, you haven't either.
Nash: Tess and Brennan and I are going to be a family -- the three
of us.
Claudia: Right. And you'll let Antonio baby-sit --
Nash: Oh, "An-phonio" can go to hell.
Nash: I did not murder Claudia Restons father. I killed him
in self-defense.
Antonio: Oh, that's original. You know how many times I've heard
that as a cop?
Nash: Well, the Napa police believe me.
Antonio: And that's why they're in Napa.
[Antonio and Nash are arguing about Brennan]
Nash: I'm her father. I have rights, not you, the boyfriend.
Antonio: Once Jessica is integrated, there will be no more Tess.
Nash: Once Jessica is integrated, there'll be no more Jessica. But
then, that hasn't happened yet, has it?
Antonio: I'm not finished with you.
Nash: Oh, no, that would be far too much to ask.
Nash: We don't have to be enemies, Antonio.
Antonio: Then stop acting like one, Nash.
Nash: I came here to apologize. When I took Jessica and Brennan to
New York, I caused quite a commotion.
Antonio: No, a loud drunk is "quite a commotion."
Antonio: So the baby's back asleep.
Nash: "The baby, the baby." The baby has a name. Her name is Brennan.
My name is Brennan. My daughter's name is Brennan. Her daddy's
name is Brennan. Her name's not "the baby," it's Brennan.
[Antonio accuses Nash of setting up the robbery at Capricorn]
Nash: You think I had somebody rob the place?
Antonio: Well, you're the one with the growing rap sheet -- fraud,
kidnapping, suspicious death.
Nash: By "suspicious death," I'm guessing you're talking about Claudia's
father, right?
Antonio: Well, it would help your cause to get rid of me, wouldnt
it? Help you get Tess back?
Nash: Hmm. If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead.
Antonio: You're always right there, aren't you?
Nash: Oh, and I promise you I always will be.
Antonio: You look like crap.
Nash: Oh. Thank you.
Antonio: How much of my liquor did you drink last night?
Nash: Well, I'm sober now, so evidently not enough.
Antonio: No, well, maybe you should think about toning it down a
notch.
Nash: Why? I like liquor. It's my friend, it's my profession.
[Antonio and Cristian stare at him]
Nash: What? I'm sorry you two don't approve.
Cristian: (to Nash) Why don't you go sit down, sweat off those
toxins, clear out the bloodstream?
Antonio: Oh, I think it runs deeper than the bloodstream.
Nash: You two both seem to know an awful lot about my toxins.
Antonio: Nash? I'd still like to have that talk.
Nash: Oh, I wait with bated breath.
Claudia: Of course you can, but what you might have a hard time with
-- that was Antonio calling. He told me something.
Nash: Do I care what Antonio has to say? No.
Antonio: (about Vincent) Guy is bad news.
Nash: I will take that under advisement.
Antonio: (about Jessica) Yeah, I love her and she's my future
wife.
Nash: Yes, you won her. I haven't forgotten.
[Antonio shoves a drunk Nash into the shower]
Nash: What are you doing, man? Let me go.
Antonio: No, not until you sober up.
Nash: Who do you think you are, my mother, Antonio?
Antonio: No, your mother wouldn't have been as easy on you.
Antonio: You were plastered. You're lucky I only shoved you in the
shower.
Nash: Well, I wouldn't have fit in the sink or the toilet.
Antonio: Look, I know what you think, man. But I don't hate you. And
even if I did, it wouldn't matter. You're Bree's father, and she needs to
know you. And then there's the fact that a certain power line may have been
the end of me if it hadn't been for you.
Nash: My conscience overcame my better instinct.
Nash: You know, Antonio, you're probably the only person in this whole
world who knows how I feel. Thank you for not being a jerk about it. I know
it's tempting.
Antonio: Yeah, well, my conscience overcame my better instinct.
Nash: Fine, I'll be in the wedding -- for Bree.
Antonio: Good. Great. But --
Nash: But I have to be sober or I'll be out on my ass.
Antonio: You think you can?
Nash: Yeah, I hate cold showers.
Antonio: Uh, uh -- well, how about you stay for dinner?
Nash: Dinner? Huh. First a wedding, now a dinner. What's next -- staying
the night?
[Antonio wonders why he asked Nash to be a groomsman in the
wedding]
Antonio: Did I do it to prove a point to Nash that Jessica's mine,
that I won?
Cristian: Well, if you have to ask that, I think you already know
the answer.
Antonio: Yeah, yeah, that's -- that's what I was afraid of.
Antonio: I'm feeling pretty lucky. I'm marrying the woman of my dreams
tomorrow.
Nash: Yeah -- she was the woman of my dreams, too.
Nash: Come on. If I was getting married tomorrow, you wouldn't throw
a bachelor party for me?
Antonio: Well, that depends on who you were marrying.
Nash: It's a good answer, moot point.
Nash: You know what, Antonio? I've only ever had two passions in my
life -- Tess and winemaking. I know I'm a bore, I can't stop talking about
either.
Antonio: Well, I'm starting to understand the wine part.
Nash: Hey! You know, I had an idea. I think I might get Bree a little
miniature tool kit for Christmas.
Antonio: Ok, well, a, I don't think they make a hammer small enough
to fit into her hand, and, b, I think she would prefer a doll.
Nash: Killjoy.
Nash: I only seem to have one photo of Bree and Tess together.
Antonio: You saving it for Bree?
Nash: Mm-hmm. Unless, of course, you'd prefer that Bree didn't know
Tess ever existed.
Antonio: Would it matter if I didn't want Bree to know that Tess was
her mother?
Nash: No, not really.
[Nash and Antonio discuss what will happen when Bree is old enough to
know the truth about Jessica/Tess's DID]
Antonio: I mean, I can barely wrap my mind around it. I -- I don't
know if I could figure out how to tell a little girl.
Nash: The all-knowing Antonio doesn't have all the answers? Wow.
[Jessica keeps trying to set Nash up on a date]
Nash: Can't you distract her somehow?
Antonio: Huh.
Nash: Help her find a hobby. Get -- get her to redecorate that Lord
mansion -- it's very out-of-date.
Antonio: She's not easily distracted.
Nash: I'm doomed.
Nash: I've had just about as much of your wife as I can take for one
day -- oh, I didn't mean that.
Antonio: Yeah, you did.
Nash: You want to beat me up?
Antonio: Uh -- no.
Nash: (about Jessica) She's nice. She's very, very nice. She's
trying to be nice. I'm just a little tired of trying to fix my life, you
know?
Antonio: You know, Nash, I could think of worse things than having
Jessica care about you.
Nash: Oh, and now you're trying to fix my life? I really got
to go.
