FORBES ON HIS CO-STARS

Forbes On Jerry verDorn (Clint)

"It's neat working with Erika Slezak (Viki) and Jerry verDorn (Clint) because they are so good. There are so many levels to their performances: They're liking you, hating you, being suspicious of you and being supportive of you all at the same time. I don't know if that's the way experienced adults behave and, as such, the actors do or if it's good acting. I suspect it's a combination of both." (SOW Online Nov 2005)

"Jerry [VerDorn, Clint] is so much fun to work with; we get along really well. He's got a little devil in him." (SID 12/6/05)

(on filming the infamous pizza scene with Jerry verDorn) "There was a pizza sitting on a table and it was just bugging me, so I said, 'Someone should eat a piece of that pizza,' [But] the scene suddenly becomes about whoever's going for the pizza as opposed to what's being said, and he had this big monologue. So I go to reach for the pizza and he just slammed the lid shut on my hand, and suddenly that became this really cool beat because he's putting Nash in his place. I wasn't trying to upstage him, but he totally took my upstage and upstaged me and it totally heightened the whole scene. You learn from things like that." (SOD 1/10/06)

(on Nash/Clint scenes) "I freaking love them. Jerry verDorn should have more scenes with more characters like that. He's like the voice of the audience." (SOW 3/6/07)

(on how he feels about being named OLTL's sexiest man of 2007) "I don't know what tragic mistake there's been. There should be a recount. I don't know what happened to all the votes for Jerry verDorn [Clint], but he is the sexiest man, in my opinion. He is the trailblazer!" (SOD 4/17/07)

(on which OLTL cast member should be president) "Jerry verDorn (Clint)! He'd be hilarious. Besides the fact that he's so well versed in pretty much every topic, he's also charming, pragmatic and simultaneously, a humanist." (SID 11/20/07)

Forbes On Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio)

"We've become good friends while working on the scripts. We'll look a week in advance at anything that's important and start talking about it. We'll joke around and improv stuff. Not because we're gonna improve on camera, but just to see what comes off. We'll talk about who's gonna win each scene, who's gonna win a fight -- that's important. So we go for a drink and work on the scripts. Probably the best working relationship on TV I've had is with Kamar." (SOD 12/27/05)

Forbes On Carly and Sam Wolfe (Brennan)

"The thing is getting kids to look at you while you're talking. There are so many distractions on set that the kids are looking around at all the other things going on. But as long as they're looking at you, they'll react to whatever you do!" (SID 1/30/07)

"They are great kids. I try to hang out with the kids a bit before we shoot, so I think we've worked together enough that they recognize me now. ... Oh, they have a great temperament. And they're fantastic little actors." (SID 1/30/07)

Forbes On Various "One Life to Live" Co-Stars

(about Kerry Butler [Claudia], Renee Elise Goldsberry [Evangeline] and Kathy Brier [Marcie] singing at 2006 Daytime Emmys) "I mean, who knew they could sing? Oh, wait a minute...everyone!" (SOD 5/23/06)

(on how he got his haircut without the show knowing about it) "I told Erika (Slezak, Viki), who does not like long-haired fellas, and she commanded me to cut it one inch a week for five weeks. So now I have short locks again." (SOW 7/31/07)

(on John Brotherton [Jared]) "He takes his work very seriously, and is very into it. He's a good guy, and I am hoping that they will make it a battle of wits [between our characters]." (SID 9/25/07)

(on Kerry Butler [Claudia]) "She is amazing, a funny, quirky, full-of-positive-energy person. She's a great girl, knows the rules of our profession and is always a pleasure to work with." (SID 9/25/07)

(on which OLTL cast member he admires most) "Michael Easton (John). I love how he's managed to channel so many other art forms and still work steadily. He's got a really good artistic life set up. If I could also write and do photography, and do all these other things he does and still work on a soap opera and pay my bills, it would be fantastic...a fantastic thing he's got set up!" (SID 10/23/07)

(on the most athletic OLTL cast member) "Tobias [Truvillion, Vincent]. You can tell that he's an athlete." (SID 12/17/07)

"David Fumero (Cristian) and I and Justis (Bolding, Sarah) were having a talk in the makeup room the other day, and she was talking about how the females are always portrayed as weak characters on television. David and I looked at each other like, 'You have got to be kidding me!' Nash has basically let his wife seduce and make out with his rival." (SOW 3/11/08)

Forbes On Former "All My Children" Co-Stars

(when asked who the sexiest person in soaps is) "As straight as I am, damn, that Cameron Mathison [Ryan, AMC] is good-looking." (SOD 8/1/00)

(on his friendship with Josh Duhamel [then-Leo]) "I don't play basketball, so we usually sit around and make fun of each other while watching our AMC tapes. ... Josh and I both have a deep passion for our work, so we talk a lot about acting." (SID 8/8/00)

"David Canary (AMC's Adam/Stuart) has the enormous respect of everybody around him without ever demanding it. He's the most dignified man I've ever worked with." (SID 12/6/05)

(on what he's listening to right now) "The Black Eyed Peas. I got it just because I used to be friends with Josh Duhamel [ex-Leo, AMC; Danny, Las Vegas] until he became really famous [and started dating Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie]. I was really curious about what their music was like 'cause it sounded cool. I like it a lot!" (SOD 5/1/07)
