Forbes On Jerry verDorn (Clint)

"It’s neat working with Erika Slezak (Viki) and Jerry verDorn (Clint) because they are so good. There are so many levels to their performances: They’re liking you, hating you, being suspicious of you and being supportive of you all at the same time. I don’t know if that’s the way experienced adults behave and, as such, the actors do or if it’s good acting. I suspect it’s a combination of both." (SOW Online Nov 2005)

(on filming the infamous pizza scene with Jerry verDorn) "There was a pizza sitting on a table and it was just bugging me, so I said, 'Someone should eat a piece of that pizza,' [But] the scene suddenly becomes about whoever's going for the pizza as opposed to what's being said, and he had this big monologue. So I go to reach for the pizza and he just slammed the lid shut on my hand, and suddenly that became this really cool beat because he's putting Nash in his place. I wasn't trying to upstage him, but he totally took my upstage and upstaged me and it totally heightened the whole scene. You learn from things like that." (SOD 1/10/06)

"We've become good friends while working on the scripts. We'll look a week in advance at anything that's important and start talking about it. We'll joke around and improv stuff. Not because we're gonna improve on camera, but just to see what comes off. We'll talk about who's gonna win each scene, who's gonna win a fight -- that's important. So we go for a drink and work on the scripts. Probably the best working relationship on TV I've had is with Kamar." (SOD 12/27/05)

"The thing is getting kids to look at you while you're talking. There are so many distractions on set that the kids are looking around at all the other things going on. But as long as they're looking at you, they'll react to whatever you do!" (SID 1/30/07)
