Sure, Nash treated Claudia pretty shabbily. And maybe the fact that he feels really, really bad about it doesn't quite make up for what he did. But geez, it's not as if he set the Restons' mansion on fire (the way Viki, who was quick to label his actions "reprehensible," did to Llanfair) or got his would-be-mother-in-law pregnant during a sleazy one-nighter (yeah, we're talking to you, Antonio). Frankly, we give the guy points for not only confessing his sin but practically getting down on his knees to beg the forgiveness of Tessica's loved ones. Trust us, Nash, your behavior doesn't even put you on Llanview's list of the Top 10 Bad Boys!
