Take Five (Soap Opera Digest 5/30/06)
What do you fear most in your life?
"I used to be afraid of sharks. I got over that last summer -- caught a wave
and spent the summer trying to catch a bigger one, sharks be damned!"
Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?
"I can't remember any uninteresting people I've ever met, but I do remember
a really old, blind Cuban man who was fishing off my favorite pier in Florida.
I don't remember anything he said -- I was very young. He didn't speak English,
he just kept asking me if he had any bait on his hook. I do remember thinking
that I'd like to know as much as him one day. He seemed really calm. It was
kind of an Old Man and the Sea moment."
If you could spend one night alone with anyone in history, who would
you choose?
"Marilyn Monroe? Cleopatra? Marilyn Monroe dressed as Cleopatra? Ah, the
hassle from my wife wouldn't be worth it. I guess I'd have to settle for
[Winston] Churchill."
How would you describe your life at this moment?
"Fun."
What is the most important lesson that you've ever
learned?
"If I'm not having fun, I'm in the wrong place."
