Bree On Erika Slezak (Viki)

"Erika's been really great at helping me adjust to the show. She sat me down and gave me a whole 20-minute spiel about what's going on with Jessica, which I was so thankful for because I was feeling a little lost about how to play the role." (SOD 2/11/03)

(on filming Viki's heart transplant storyline) "It was easy to cry and feel upset about it, because Erika Slezak's wonderful. To see her like that, it was [hard]. "Erika is phenomenal about giving advice. There was a scene one day, and I was having so much trouble with it. Bree -- not Jessica or Tess, but Bree -- had tears in my eyes because I was so upset I couldn't get it right. We just move so quickly in daytime; it was really upsetting. It was Tess pretending to be Jessica, and my first time playing that. It was really hard. Erika just took me aside and she saved the day. I did the scene and it was great and I felt wonderful about it. She just whispered something in my ear and it was awesome." (SOD 5/24/05)

(on Carly and Sam) "You could have these kids on set for a really long time and [one] would sit in my arms and not move, not make a peep, not cry, not do anything and just totally hang out, but as they're getting older, they're running around the studio before we're shooting -- it's not that they're bad or they're crying or anything like that, they're babies and they want to run around and explore. We just did a couple scenes where she had to sit still on my lap and it just was not happening [laughs]. Also, they're so talkative. We were kind of doing an emotional scene and one of the babies was gargling and yelling and talking and laughing -- it was ridiculous, I barely got through it." (SOD 5/15/07)

I just haven't spent a lot of my life around kids, so it's nice to be around kids and play with them. They're really good kids and I love them. (on which cast member is the best dancer) "Kamar. He's a great leader. It's like the love scenes -- I'm just there as a prop. Anytime anyone says, 'Oh, your love scenes are really sexy,' I'm like, 'Go and congratulate Kamar. It has nothing to do with me at all!' Same with the dancing scenes. (on Tuc Watkins' last day on OLTL, which happened the day of filming for Jess and Antonio's wedding) "We were all there for it, which made it really, really nice. It was a special day, less because of the wedding and more because it was Tuc's last day. We were able to give him a proper goodbye." (SOW 11/7/06)

"We all get along really well, so it's nice. Melissa [Archer, Natalie] is just wonderful, a bundle of energy. Jay [Wilkison, then-Riley] is so sweet, Jessica's [Morris, then-Jen] cool, too, so I always feel bad when [the character] Jessica is mean to [Jen]. It's nice to have a group of people around the same age. We'll joke around, order pizza, make microwave popcorn...it's a lot of fun. The guys are always playing video games, especially Matt [Twining, then-River], who likes to play them with Eddie Alderson [Matthew]. It's the cutest thing." (SOD 4/27/04)

(on Kerry Butler [then-Claudia]) "It's weird because she plays this horrible, vindictive person, but Kerry in real life is so sweet, genuine and innocent. She just has such an easy personality. I liked her from day one." (SID 7/4/06)
