Remote Patrol: Take Two! (Soaps In Depth 7/3/07)

Given her rapidly failing health, we understood Jessica's desire to leave a videotape behind that Bree might later watch. But holy hepatitis, Batman, coudln't she have at least, say, run a comb through her hair or maybe applied a little makeup to her newly orange skin? Jess made a point of saying she wanted to make the tape before her condition got worse so that Bree wouldn't have to see her looking like death warmed over and yet she didn't make the slightest attempt to gussy herself up! Ironically, in the video, Jess spoke of how she'd be there with her daughter whenever the girl felt scared and alone, and we couldn't help thinking that given her appearance, the promise seemed likely to inspire haunting nightmares rather than comfort!
