Sporty Spice (Soap Opera Digest 8/31/04)

The uber-athletic Bree Williamson (Jesica) has tried snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding and kite boarding. Recently, she added a new "board" to her repertoire: a surfboard. "I've really gotten into it," she shares. "I'm definitely a beach person. I grew up on a beach and I've tried surfing in Costa Rica. I loved it -- it was just so relaxing and peaceful, being there on the ocean. There are supposed to be some good surfing spots in New York, but I doubt they're as good as they were [in Costa Rica]." In the meantime, Williamson has still found ways to get that thrill in the city. "I bought a skateboard with me, which I use," she reveals. "It's great for cutting through crowds." Still, as athletic as she is, the Canadian-born Williamson hasyet to witness a populat national sport. "You know, believe it or not, I've never seen a curling match, nor have I even met a curler," she admits. "It's supposed to be big in Canada, but I've never even seen it played."
