Forbes on Nash & Tess
(on when Nash realized he really liked Tess) "I think he liked her
the moment he saw her. He knows that she's used to getting her way and he
likes pushing her buttons a little bit, but that's just his way." (SOD
8/30/05)
(on Nash's reaction to Tess being pregnant) Nashs reaction
was written slightly ambiguous. We decided after much discussion that Nash
would immediately be supportive because he has no family and hed want
a family. It also seemed to be a nice contrast to Tess. Shes more of
a free spirit where Nash doesnt want to be as free. It sets up an
interesting dynamic there. (SOW Online Nov 2005)
I dont think Nash really understands the differences between
Jessica and Tess, but I suspect hell grow to know both sides of her
well over time. As far as Nash is concerned, theres not a big difference.
Its almost as if one has amnesia and one of them knows him well.
Youre looking at the same woman dressed slightly differently, whose
facial expressions are a little different, and its like ones
in a really good mood and ones in a serious mood. Hell see the
differences and realize that he loves one more than the other. (SOW
Online Nov 2005)
(on Nash's feelings for Tess) "The audience -- and Nash -- are never
quite sure if he's fighting for her spirit or for possessive reasons. I think
it's a little bit of both." (SID 12/6/05)
"Nash wants to be a little devilish, to be that bad boy. But something about
Tess brings out the best side of him." (SOD 12/13/05)
(on the integration of Jessica and Tess) "I think I've said goodbye
to Tess more times than I've said hello to her. Nash knows Tess is gone because
he can see Jesica is gone, too. The person who walks out of there is a
combination of both." (SOW 9/12/06)
(about Nash) "He is trying to let go of Tess, but then Jessica is
always around -- and she's Tess, no matter what anybody says!" (SID
10/24/06)
(on dealing with life after the integration of Jessica/Tess) "He's
trying to get his head around the fact that Tess is gone. 'Wait, Tess isn't
gone, Tess is back. But she doesn't love me.' That's the tragedy for Nash."
(SOW 10/31/06)
"I honestly didnt think Nash and Tess would last longer than a few
months. They basically saw it as a summer storyline until the audience loved
us together." (TVG Canada 1/18/07)
"The story of Tess and Nash was so wonderful because they both saved each
other. The way I imagined Nash was he didnt trust anyone, but Nash
trusted Tess, and thats very romantic." (TVG Canada 1/18/07)
