Jessica: Adios, Antonio (Soap Opera Weekly 5/29/07)

An ailing Jessica breaks Antonio's heart this week on One Life to Live when she dumps him from her hospital bed for Nash.

"Nash's dream really hasn't come true, the woman is dying," laments Forbes March (Nash). "But there is an enormous sense of relief."

Unlike Jessica, Nash doesn't feel guilty about her decision. "Nash doesn't believe in cheating," defends March. "He doesn't take breaking wedding vows lightly. But Nash and Jessica had a lot of history. They had a child together."

Still, "anytime you win, unfortunately you beat somebody," the actor concedes.

And Nash then has to face the man he's "beaten." "Nash says, 'Look, I do feel bad for you and your family, but I have to think about my own family,'" explains March. "'This has gone on too long. Jessica has chosen. She's chosen me. So, back off."

Antonio backs off all right -- all the way out of town. Which could mean dire consequences for his estranged wife.
