Jess and Nash Make Love (Soap Opera Digest 4/17/07)

Come rain, wind, fire or ice, the elements keep pulling Jessica back to Nash on OLTL. This week, a rainstorm and a quarry unite the pair, who end up making love.

Rewind to the first half of the week. Jessica is having trouble psyching herself up for Jamie's adoption, while Nash is upset that she has decided to take this next step with Antonio. "They have a discussion about it and it's kind of in the same vein as what Nash said to her before she got married, like, 'This is not really what you want. You're doing this out of obligation. Don't do this,'" previews Bree Williamson (Jessica). Nash even presses Clint to try to stop Jessica from adopting Jamie. "Clint tells Nash to bugger off and mind his own business," explains Forbes March (Nash), so Nash resolves to leave town. "He basically decides he's had enough."

Jessica and Nash have a "final good-bye" that involves a passionate kiss. "Jessica really believes that this is it," says Williamson. "She's feeling really, really awful, but in her mind, she's going to bite the bullet because she thinks it's the right thing to do. She loves Jamie and she wouldn't want to hurt her and she doesn't want to hurt Antonio."

But when it comes time for the adoptionhearing, Jessica has a melt-down. "The judge asks her for verbal confirmation that she wants to adopt Jamie...and she can't say it," says Williamson. "Jamie, at this point, is sitting directly behind her and Jessica has to turn around and [crying], 'Oh, I'm so sorry!' Antonio's like, 'What's going on? I don't understand why you don't want to adopt Jamie.' And then Jessica runs off."

Without direction, Jessica drives into an intense rainstorm and, sobbing, finds herself at a quarry. Meanwhile, Nash happens to be driving by. "Lo and behold, who should he see by the side of the road but Jessica, screaming to the gods and running into a quarry in the rain," says March, so Nash chases after her. According to Williamson, "She makes a huge confession to him about how she really feels, and how he was right and she really loves him, and then they end up making love.... It's pretty bad. Jesscia is making some mistakes."

While Nash and Jessica are making love, Antonio gets a tip on the whereabouts of his wife's car. Is Jessica's world about to explode? "What happens next is unbelievable," teases Williamson. "It's insane."
