Jessica 'Caves' to Nash (Soap Opera Weekly 1/9/07)

Jessica and Nash get trapped this week on One Life to Live -- with each other AND their feelings.

The two are on their way to Nash's new vineyard when a blizzard forces them off the road. As the snowstorm worsens, the two take refuge in a cave. One thing leads to another and they get into a serious heart-to-heart. When Jessica admits she doesn't want to lose Nash, he accuses her of manipulating him.

What gives?

"She's a completely new person," explains head writer Dena Higley. "This isn't the Jessica of old. If I could have, I would have given her a new name, but that's not realistic. She is looking at Nash with completely new eyes, admiring and liking him and feeling something for him."

Ditto Nash. "Tess is starting to fade in his memory and he's starting to see this new person," adds Higley. "He never would have fallen in love with the old Jessica, but this new version of Jessica is like Tess, but with compassion. We're starting from zero with this couple."

Speaking of zero, that's the temperature outside. So Nash tells Jessica the only way to keep from freezing to death is to take off their clothes and share their body heat.

Tess certainly wouldn't have a problem with that, so guess what happens?
