Forget Tess: Nash Wants Jess! (SID 1/30/07)

No matter how hard One Life to Live's Jessica and Nash might try, they always seem to draw closer to each other. But will this complicated situation change anytime soon? "What's interesting is that they're both making a conscious effort to not act on the feelings they both know they have," points out Nash's potrayer, Forbes March. "Nash is trying to accept and respect the fact that Jessica has chosen Antonio -- even though he knows she still has feelngs for him -- and he is trying to stop feeling what he's feeling. He assumes that his feelings are nothing more than feelings he had for Tess transferred onto Jess." But is Jessica in the same predicament as Bree's father, or has it been easier for her since her wedding? "Jess is in a similar position," explains the actor, "trying to dismiss her feelings for Nash as nothing more than shadows of Tess. But what she hasn't realized is that she is Tess still -- she's Tess and Jess in a new person; after all, if this isn't true, then she wasn't integrated." So will the two overcome all of their baggage and end up in each other's arms? "If they manage to come together, it'll be because they realize that what they feel isn't just a shadow of what was," sums up March, "but the truth of what is."
