Can Nash Still Win Jessica? (Soaps In Depth 12/5/06)

When One Life to Live's Antonio wed Jess, he vowed to love her for better or worse. But did he really have a clue what he was getting into? "Jessica is still continuing to change," previews headwriter Dena Higley. "She thinks, 'I don't mind being this new free spirit, but at the same time, I need to be grounded. And being married to Antonio will keep me grounded!'" But this notion doesn't take into account the fact that Jess is still trying to cope with the part of her that is Tess. Or the fact that Nash is still very much a part of their lives! "Nash is a one-woman guy, and that's part of the problem," says the scribe. "He really wishes that he didn't have this myopic vision that there is only one woman in the world for him and he can't have her. As Jess becomes more and more Tess-like, instead of comforting Nash, it makes him furious, because all of that energy that Tess represents is now being directed toward Antonio!" But did Jessica make a huge mistake in saying "I do" before having a firm grip on who the newly integrated her is?
