Nash is the Daddy! (Soap Opera Digest 6/13/06)

Big news hits Llanview this week when it's revealed that Nash and Tess are baby Brennan's proud parents. Unfortunately, neither of them is present to hear the news: Nash is in California and Jessica is in control.

"Jessica finds that out, and Tess doesn't come back out, which is a big win for Jessica," previews Bree Williamson (Jessica). "It's kind of a big step towards Jessica's integration that she hears the news and stays in control."

It isn't the outcome that Jessica and Antonio were hoping for, but they both take it in stride. "Antonio wants to adopt Brennan and have him, Jamie, Brennan and Jessica as a family," Williamson notes. Of course, no one is quite ready to write off Nash just yet. "Jessica calls Nash to say he's the father, and he's thrilled," Williamson smiles.

Williamson explains that Jessica will be in control for a little while and that next week, she will take the opportunity to talk to Viki about everything that's happened between them. "There's a lot that hasn't been addressed because Tess was out, so there wasn't any real Viki and Jessica time. That happens, and they're the best scenes I think I've done in all this. Erika [Slezak, Viki] made me cry."
