Can Tess Save Nash's Life? (Soaps In Depth 1/3/06)

In the wake of a nasty beating, OLTL's Nash finds himself fighting for his life. Will Tess manage to be by his side, or will Jessica stand in her way?

The In Depth Story: "This story is sort of our little Christmas miracle," previews headwriter Dena Higley before adding with a laugh, "in a twisted, sick kind of way!"

After spending the past few weeks dealing with not only Jessica but Tess, Nash was left more than a little confused. "You can just imagine him saying, 'I'm going back to a place where everybody has one personality and I know who they are,'" says the writer. Instead, however, the past has caught up with the hunk, who finds himself at death's door after taking a severe beating. Found unconscious, the Llanview newcomer is rushed to the hospital.

As much as he might want Tess by his side, it is Jessica who is in control of their shared body at the moment. But that soon changes. "Jessica spends Christmas with her family," explains Higley. "And then Tess pops out after this tragedy befalls Nash. She gets to him in time to help him deal with the situation."

According to the scribe, this is a major role reversal for the pair. "Nash is always taking care of Tess, so to see her step up to the plate and take care of him is really great." But will her tender loving care really be enough to help him usher in the new year alive?
