Blame Canada (Soap Opera Digest 9/27/05)

When both Bree Williamson (Jessica/Tess) and Forbes March (Nash) apologize to one another by saying "I'm sore-y," it isn't just a cute, on-screen couple assimilation. "We're both Canadian," March explains. "When I went in to test for this role, there was a whole 'Oh, great, another Canadian' thing. Then, the whole room started with the 'Eh? Eh? How's it going, eh? How you doing, eh?' So, then it sort of becomes an us-against-them kind of thing, in a fun way." But the truth is, March is actually quite the New Yorker. "I did All My Children [as Scott] and went to school in New York," March points out. "Apart from my hometown in Canada, which I left when I was 18, it's the place where I feel most at home."
