[Nash meets Natalie and the rest of the Buchanans when Tess is brought
into the hospital]
Natalie: (to Nash) Who are you? (turning to
Viki) And, Mom, why does he keep acting like Jessica's his
girlfriend?
Nash: Tess is my girlfriend, and none of you so-called family members
seem to be listening to a word she's saying she wants.
[Tess is calling for Nash but the Buchanans won't let him go in to see
her]
Nash: You know, I may be in the minority, but you can all hear who
Tess is calling for in there.
Natalie: Stop calling her that!
Nash: She can't stand any of you. She needs me in there. I should
be in there.
Natalie: Whatever Jessica is going through, she has always been Jessica
since the day she was born.
Nash: That may be true, but you have no clue who she is now, and that's
your problem.
[Tess is locked in the library with Viki, Clint and Dr. Jamison undergoing
a therapy session]
Natalie: Well, I'm going in there.
Nash: No, you're not.
Natalie: Get out of my way. This is none of your business.
Nash: The hell it's not. The girl I love is on the other side
of that door, and if there's any chance of her walking out of there, I'm
not letting you or anybody else getting in the way of that.
[Tess has gone missing, but Natalie doesn't know that yet]
Natalie: Why are you going around town showing pictures of my
sister?
Nash: Because I don't like not knowing where she is.
Natalie: She's fine. She's at home. Her family is looking
after her.
Nash: Really? Does her family know that she's gone missing
again?
[Nash says that someone snuck into the hopsital and destroyed the amniotic
fluid sample needed for the paternity test]
Cristian: Jessica would never do something like that.
Nash: Yeah, right.
Natalie: Huh -- yeah, right because Jessica is civilized.
Nash: Tess is scared, Jess feels safe. You see, Tess thinks
that everybody in this town is against her, and she's right. I kept
telling her not to worry, that I'm the father of the baby, but Tess was
terrified.
