Singles Who Mingle: Bree Williamson (Soap Opera Digest 2/17/04)
What was your best Valentine's Day? "I'm still waiting
for it [laughs]! Actually, that's a lie, I had a good Valentine's Day a couple
of years ago when I hung out with my girlfriends. We went out for karaoke
night and sang bad songs. It was kind of an anti-Valentine's Day. I can't
remember what the songs were, but they all said things like, 'You're a jerk.'"
What is your favorite gift to give/receive? "I like to give
and receive homemade things, like a card or a CD."
What is the biggest surprise you received on a date? "I didn't
actually go on a date. I thought I told this guy I couldn't go out with him,
but I guess our communicatio got mixed up. I had plans [in Canada] and was
with my friend. he called, angry that I wasn't on a date with him. It turned
out he was so upset because he had arranged for us to have dinner in New
York. Any guys out there: Don't do something so extravagant on only the second
or third date. It was a bit much."
What is a good breakup line? "I don't think you should use
a line at all. No 'It's not you, it's me.' Just say, 'Sorry, but this isn't
working out' or 'See you later.'"
Have you fallen for a pickup line? "Does anybody these days
[laughs]? Just say 'Hello.' I like directness."
Who is your celeb dream date? "I love Jason Lee. He hasn't
done anything big in a while, but he's such a cutie. I also like Lenny Kravitz.
He's just so cool."
What is your idea of a good date? "It can be dinner, coffee,
whatever, but there needs to be a lot of easy, free-flowing talk. It doesn't
have to be anything big, it just has to be comfortrable."
What is the best Valentine's Day gift you've gotten? "My
ex-boyfriend made me a card. It was really nice because I didn't think he
was the type who was into that. We're still good friends."
What is your biggest turnoff? "There are so many! I think the
bigest is dishonesty. I also don't like it if a guy is rude. Another is if
a guy says something bad about his mother. If a guy can't get along with
his mom, that's a huge turnoff."
