Tess' Secret Is Out (Soap Opera Weekly 4/4/06)

One Life to Live's Tess learns Clint and Viki have found a video tape showing Jessica's abuse at the hands of a man named Norman this week. So she locates the perv via the Internet and heads to the rest home where he clings to life.

"Nash watches enough of the tape to get the gist of what happened," says Forbes March (Nash). "He realizes where Tess has gone and goes after her."

Just in time.

"Tes tries to suffocate Norman, and Nash arrives to stop her," explains head writer Dena Higley. "Then he wants to suffocate Norman, and Tess stops him. Nash loves her enough to do it, to try to give her some peace of mind, but she talks him out of it, saying, "If you do that, you'll go to jail and I'll lose you."

Where's Jessica in all this?

"We're dealing with what created Tess in the first place, so Jessica can't come out," offers Bree Williamson (Tess/Jessica). But now that the source of her split has been pinpointed, it's time for Jessica to learn the truth.

"Once they digest what happened, their goal is to get Jessica to surface to deal with it," explains Higley. "But they've got a long way to go."
