Hello Mother, Hello Father! (Soaps In Depth 6/20/06)


After months of speculation, the paternity (and maternity) of the Jess/Tess baby is finally revealed this week on One Life to Live! What will this mean for the future of Jessica and her alter? And even if he is the father, will Nash survive the Restons long enough to make a life with Tess and the baby?


Good-Bye, Tess
As Jessica continues her struggle to emerge, Nash receives another threat from Claudia's dad. Fearing the worst, Tess' boyfriend makes the painful decision to abandon his loved ones, which leaves his girlfriend devastated. But Tess soon comes to realize that Nash made the best decision for everyone right now, and so she herself bids farewell to the baby girl and relinquishes control to Viki's daughter!

Antonio, meanwhile, worries about the paternity results and what they might cause Tess and Nash to do. After fearing that the underdog couple may have kidnapped the newborn, Cristian's brother has a heartfelt reunion with his beloved Jessica. Together, the two await the test results that will change everyone's lives forever.


Claudia To The Rescue!
Nash lets Claudia knows about her father's threats, and the diminutive minx seems to be generally remoreseful for what her dad has been doing. She even offers to help Nash out with his problems, letting him know at the same time that she's clearly aware that the object of her affection is just using her.

While all this is going on, the shocking paternity results come in! As the family discovers who the baby's father really is, Viki wonders how everyone will be affected by this news in the days and weeks to come.


Bruce Almighty
As the baby's family continues to reel from the recent revelation, Nash and Claudia team up to confront her dad. But a surprised Nash quickly learns that his longtime friend, Bruce, is now an employee of the vengeful Reston patriarch. While the betrayed winemaker appears to be shattered by this discovery, it later becomes apparent that Bruce was actually planted there by Nash himself! Will this plan allow Tess' beau to eliminate the Reston threat once and for all? And what will Nash do when he finally learns the life-changing results of the paternity test?
