Who is Brennan's father?
Brennan's father is Nash Brennan. This was revealed after a paternity test was conducted shortly after Brennan's birth.

When was Brennan conceived?
The exact date of conception is unknown. All that is known is that she was likely conceived during the first half of August, when Tess was in control. It's hard to pin-point conception because Nash and Tess made love quite often.

Why is Brennan named "Brennan"?
Shortly after the baby's birth, Nash and Tess still had not decided on a name. A hospital representative urged Tess to come up with something that could be placed on the baby's birth certificate. Tess decided to name the baby "Brennan," after Nash. At this point, the paternity of the baby was still unknown, and Tess believed that this way, no matter what the paternity test results said, the baby would always have Nash's name.

Does Brennan have a middle name?
No.

Why do some characters refer to Brennan as "Bree"?
Jessica felt badly for Antonio that everytime he said the name "Brennan" he would be reminded that Nash was the baby's father. She and Antonio decided to come up with a nickname they could use to avoid saying "Brennan." It was Jessica who hit on the name "Bree," explaining that it rhymed with "free" which is what she wants her daughter to always feel like. (It is important to note that the actress playing Jessica is named Bree Williamson.)

Which characters refer to Brennan as "Brennan" and which characters refer to her as "Bree"?
Jessica and Antonio call her "Bree" exclusively, as do most of their family members and friends. Nash has been known to call her by both names, though sometimes when arguing with Jessica or Antonio he makes a point of stressing that Brennan's name is "Brennan" rather than "Bree."

Why does Brennan live with Jessica and Antonio?
Nash and Jessica decided not to fight over custody. Brennan lives with Jessica and Antonio in their loft, but Nash has scheduled visitation.

Is Antonio planning to try and adopt Brennan?
Antonio has stated that he has no plans to try and adopt Brennan.
